Meet Charlie: The Delightfully Tiny Jack Russell
Charlie is a 14-year-old Jack Russell and beloved member of my family. One of the first furry members to attend The Dog Studio, he brings the laughter and joy everywhere he goes, even as he navigates the senior pup life. Despite being mostly deaf and more and more blind everyday, Charlie still has the pep of a puppy that masks his old age.
I remember being 13 years old and chasing my brand new puppy Charlie around the backyard with my trusty digital camera (a photography fanatic right from the start), trying to capture just how small and adorable he was. Those photos (although a bit rough around the edges of course), are now treasured keepsakes, and it's so special to have him in my own dog photo studio all these years later.

One of the most unique things about Charlie is his bark. Instead of a typical woof, he sounds like a cat being strangled. He's never mastered a guard dog bark, instead making everyone who comes to our house question "I didn't know you got a cat" thanks to his high pitched meows.

Even though Charlie's ears and eyes have taken a backseat, he looks nowhere near his human age of his mid-70s. He's still got the most humorous face and his heart is still full of bounce and joy. Charlie loved his time in The Dog Studio, where he could eat all the treats as slowly as he wanted without fear of them being gobbled up by his bossy staffy sister Pippa, and he turned it on with the most comical faces we've seen so far.

Charlie is more than just a pet; he's family, and he has given me so much joy and love over the last decade. Our tiny dog with the biggest soul, thank you for your beautiful nature in the studio.
